Vital Life:
Men and new growth
A weekend psychodrama workshop for men
What is this group about?
There are times we know something has to change to regain, or maintain our vitality, or the vitality of our relationships, - one that brings joy to the heart and has life flowing through us again. This workshop offers you an opportunity to mobilise yourself and grow in new ways.
Psychodrama is a potent method for developing new responses to old situations, or adequate responses to new situations. It provides a structured space where you can explore situations and concerns from your life using actions methods. These include group interaction, pairs exercises, and psychodrama enactments. There will be opportunities to learn to communicate better, resolve conflict more effectively, gain greater understanding of yourself, and bring new life to the way you relate to others.
How does the group work?
The first evening will be spent getting to know each other better to begin building the trust needed to do this work. And we will hear what has brought you along.
Over the following two days we will learn through facilitated group interaction, coaching, and exploration of your concerns using action methods. Through hearing other peoples experiences, reflecting on your own, and exploring what matters to you through action methods, you will have opportunities to develop new responses to the challenges you face with the support of the group.

Testimonials
The testimonials below are from men who have attended previous groups,
"The group helped me immensely in opening up and processing some of my trauma and deep seated issues. It has also taught me much better communication strategies and to speak up for myself and voice my needs. Hearing from other's problems helped me reflect on my own and made me more empathetic towards people around me...What has changed is better, clearer and more open communication, which in turn has improved my relationships and confidence. More peace with myself, my emotions (positive and negative) and external circumstances/stress." Bernie
“It helped me be more aware of the loss related to my absent father, learned different ways to deal with angry feelings when triggered...very helpful. Good that someone takes the trouble to run these groups”. N,
"It was a different way of looking at issues with the action rather than just talking. [I learned] more to open up to others." - R.
"[It was helpful]… to know that I am not the only person with problems." - R.
